Made from Accoya, a premium grade sustainable and environmentally friendly timber for the frame, side panel cladding, base support and finials. The planter side panels and sectional base are made from MEDITE® TRICOYA® EXTREME Engineered Wood Panels.
Accoya has a 50 year timber guarantee against rot, when used above ground, surpassing even teak. Our garden planters are also fitted with a durable and environmentally friendly Butyl liner with a lifetime guarantee. Giving you peace of mind that your garden planter will last for decades.
The planter frame is made using large section timber for the legs (70mm x 70mm ) and rails (70mm x 60mm), this ensures a strong heavy duty frame, in addition to ensure maximum strength, the planter side panels are fully rebated on all 4 sides.
Custom Size Planters
Every planter is made to order, so if you require a bespoke size planter we can make the planters exactly to the size you require. This process involves production of drawings for you to confirm and sign off prior to production, this ensures that the planters meet the specifications agreed.
Large Planter - Base Construction, Drainage and Irrigation
Planter Base, for our large planters we use a base support frame made from Accoya, with a sectional base made from 18mm Medite Tricoya Extreme board. These panels are cut to size to allow drainage at all 4 internal corners of the planter base, together with an additional 16mm drainage holes along the centre line of the base.
Liner made from environmentally friendly Butyl with a lifetime guarantee.
The liner is fitted for both aesthetic and drainage management purposes, this is fitted around the inner perimeter of the planter, to the full height of the inner side panels and extends 50mm onto the planter base boards. We then fit loose fitting sections of butyl liner to cover the base, which can be lifted and cut as required to provide adjustment for drainage holes and any irrigation pipes.

Every wooden garden planter is built to order in our Suffolk workshop and usually ready for delivery within 8 weeks.
