Large Versailles Garden Planters, built to order, made from Accoya to any size and painted any colour.

Accoya is warranted for 50 years above ground, surpassing even teak. Giving you peace of mind your garden planter will last for decades.

The large Versailles planter frame is made from Accoya, a premium grade sustainable and environmentally friendly timber. The planter sides and base panels are made using the strongest, maximum thickness 18mm MEDITE® TRICOYA® EXTREME Engineered Wood Panels. Both Accoya and Tricoya have exceptional dimensional stability, with minimal expansion or shrinkage than other timbers, this results in paint finishes lasting much longer. We offer the choice of having your planters painted any colour including RAL codes, using premium quality environmentally friendly exterior eggshell paints from Little Greene Paint Company or Farrow & Ball.

Our large planters are made using large section timber, with 70mm x 70mm legs with 70mm x 60mm rails, this ensures a strong heavy duty frame, in addition the planter side panels are also fully rebated on all 4 sides.

Custom Size Planters

Every  Versailles planter is made to order, so if you require a bespoke size planter we can make the planters exactly to the size you require. This process involves production of drawings for you to confirm and sign off prior to production, this ensures that the planters meet the specifications agreed.

Large Planter - Base Construction, Drainage and Irrigation

Planter Base, for our large planters we use a base support frame made from Accoya which supports a sectional base, made from 18mm Medite Tricoya Extreme board. These panels are cut to size to allow drainage at all 4 internal corners of the planter base, together with a additional drainage holes along the centre line of the base.

Liner made from durable and environmentally friendly Butyl liner with a 20 year guarantee.

The liner is fitted for both aesthetic and drainage management purposes, this is fitted around the inner perimeter of the planter, to the full height of the inner side panels and extends 50mm onto the planter base boards. We then fit loose fitting sections of butyl liner to cover the base, which can be lifted and cut as required to provide adjustment for drainage holes and any irrigation pipes.

Every wooden garden planter is built to order in our Suffolk workshop and is usually ready for delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.
